Experiential marketing services

Strategy, creative direction, experiential production and show production, all in house. We build campaigns around in-person experiences and carry them across social, digital, OOH and PR.

Why we build around in-person experiences

We create campaigns that focus on in-person experiences because we believe the future of marketing is rooted in real-life interactions. We see face-to-face moments as the key to connecting brands with their communities. These authentic experiences leave a lasting impression and build stronger, more meaningful relationships between brands and their audiences.

We are proudly industry-agnostic, bringing our expertise in creating unforgettable in-person experiences to brands across every sector. From fashion and beauty to tech, entertainment, and beyond, we excel at tailoring activations that resonate with diverse audiences. Whether it's a product launch, pop-up, or large-scale conference, we thrive on crafting moments that connect, engage, and leave a lasting impression, no matter the industry.

We help clients design activation plans that generate measurable results over time. Whether planning on a project, annual, or multi-annual cycle, our multi-disciplinary team roadmaps the right slate of integrated experiences to address the unique set of customers and goals you seek to fulfill.

Creative direction

We're proud to conceive and manage award-winning creative campaigns with our incredible in-house team. From stunts and launches, to conferences and trade shows, to live shows and premieres, we let big ideas reign and aim to push the boundaries of the crazy experiences that got us into this wild industry in the first place.

Experiential production

AGENC was founded and scaled around a core competency of build and execution. At each stage of management, from conception and feasibility testing through final wraps, our team is staffed to deliver best-in-class production on a local and global scale.

Show production and broadcast

AGENC has been providing broadcast-quality content capture, editing and direction since our founding: live show production and live show direction, virtual events, remote recording and technical expertise, plus content capture, editing, motion graphics, and VR and AR.

How a project runs

The phases below are how our team staffs a project, whether it's a one-day pop-up or a multi-year program. Clients can bring us in at the first insight or at production.

01

1. Brief and audience

We start with the brand truth, the audience and the action we want guests to take. If the program spans a year or more, campaign strategy maps which experiences run when.

02

2. Concept and feasibility

Creative direction develops the idea, and production pressure-tests it early: rigging points, ceiling height, power, load-in access, permit timelines and whether the idea fits the space at full size.

03

3. Budget built around the idea

We identify the parts of the guest experience that carry the idea and build the budget around them, so venue, fabrication, staffing, talent and content spend go where audiences will notice.

04

4. Venue, permits and vendors

Site visits, the exclusive vendor list on the first call, curfews, union requirements, weather plans, and access hours worked backward from guest arrival.

05

5. Design, fabrication and run of show

Drawings, builds and a minute-by-minute run of show, with separate journeys for consumers, press, talent and VIP guests where the event needs them.

06

6. Content plan

Photo moments, creator opportunities, interview positions and live content are planned before load-in, so the experience keeps working across social, PR, OOH and paid media.

07

7. Load-in, show and strike

Our producers run the build, the live event and the strike on site, in one city or several.

08

8. Wrap and reporting

We close with the results each project was built for: attendance, samples, impressions, press and EMV.

Formats we produce

Most of our work falls into two groups: events and brand activations. Here is what that covers, with an example of each.

Conferences and summits

Sponsor-driven, multi-stage programs such as Bloomberg Screentime, built with Bloomberg Live.

Award shows and galas

Show production and design for events such as InStyle's first Imagemaker Awards.

Premieres

Red carpets built as sets, including four Rings of Power premieres in four countries in 15 days.

Live shows and upfronts

Stage shows such as The New York Times' return to a live NewFronts presentation in 2025.

Retreats and brand trips

Multi-day programs such as the TRESemmé A-List Retreat for 17 influencers in Jackson Hole.

Events and trade show booths

Every event format we produce, from summits to booths at shows like the AAD Annual Meeting.

Pop-ups and experiential retail

Short-run shops such as Miss Dior Millefiori at Gansevoort Plaza during New York Fashion Week.

Mobile tours, sampling and festivals

Branded vehicles, multi-city tours and sampling programs, from the Supergoop! Sunshine Shack to Kosas at Coachella.

Tentpole takeovers

Large-scale builds such as Paramount's 36,000-square-foot playground and 75-foot mountain at Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas.

Influencer launches and stunts

Launches such as Patrón El Alto, with 25+ influencers on a high-altitude tasting at 40,000 feet.

Industries we work in

Each industry asks for something different. Beauty usually needs product trial, fashion leans on culture and retail, entertainment centers fandom, and technology often needs a live demonstration.

Beauty

Drunk Elephant's C-Luma tour brought consultations and samples to 2,000+ daily visitors in Los Angeles, Miami and New York.

Fashion

J.Crew's 40th anniversary at Pier 17 and the Seaport, with a rooftop performance by The Strokes and 5,000+ guests over five days.

Entertainment

Paramount Peak at Super Bowl LVIII: 13 IP activations, five 4DX gondolas and 2,000+ daily guests.

Technology

Bloomberg Tech in San Francisco in 2026, a Bloomberg Live summit covering AI and robotics.

Wellness

goop's In goop Health summits, part of a partnership that began in 2018.

CPG and beverage

The Khloud trolley: seven stops in two days to launch Khloé Kardashian's protein popcorn in Los Angeles.

Travel

Cathay Pacific's 80th anniversary pop-up, with its premium cabins, at The Grove in Los Angeles and Hudson Yards in New York.
