Experiential marketing agency for Milwaukee

Milwaukee packs more than a million and a half fairgoers and festival fans into one summer. AGENC has not produced here yet, and we would run a Milwaukee project from our Los Angeles and New York teams.

Experiential marketing in Milwaukee

Milwaukee's summer is built around two lakefront and fairground institutions. Summerfest drew more than 613,000 people in 2026, including two sold-out Garth Brooks kickoff shows, and the 175th Wisconsin State Fair in West Allis welcomed 925,749 visitors over 11 days. Both are long-running events with built-in audiences, which makes them a strong fit for sampling, festival experiences and brand moments that feel like part of the tradition.

To be plain about it: AGENC has not produced a project in Milwaukee. We are an experiential marketing agency based in Los Angeles and New York, and a Milwaukee program would be run by those teams, with producers on site for scouting, load-in and every show day. That is how we already work in markets without an office. Supergoop!'s Sunshine Shack traveled to 10 festival stops and handed out 40,000 samples. Kosas put a fleet of pink Broncos at Coachella and distributed more than 6,000 samples. Arc'teryx welcomed more than 6,000 guests to a three-day takeover at Mammoth Mountain.

What we would bring to Milwaukee is that festival and touring experience, plus the design standard we hold in Los Angeles and New York. A Summerfest activation has to work for a crowd moving between stages, in lake weather, over three separate weekends. A State Fair build has to survive 11 days of heavy traffic. Those are the same production problems we solve on the road, applied to a city with its own calendar. We would start with a scouting trip, a venue and permit review, and a local vendor list before design is locked.

We also design for the content that travels after the event. Our founder, Cara Kleinhaut, coined #DesignForDigital, the idea that sightlines, lighting and photo moments should be planned for the camera as carefully as for the guest. For a Wisconsin brand, or a national brand reaching Wisconsin, that means an activation that works for the people in line and for everyone who sees it afterward.

Milwaukee's festival and event calendar

Summerfest

Summerfest takes place at Henry Maier Festival Park on the lakefront. The 2026 edition drew 568,711 people across its nine days over three weekends, or 613,475 counting two sold-out Garth Brooks kickoff concerts. The nine-day figure was down from 602,231 in 2025. The 2027 festival is set for June 24 to 26, July 1 to 3 and July 8 to 10 (FOX6). Because it spans three weekends, a brand can run one build and refresh the programming each weekend.

Wisconsin State Fair

The 175th Wisconsin State Fair drew 925,749 visitors over 11 days in 2026 (WTMJ). The fair's record is 1,136,805, set in 2024. It is one of the largest single gatherings in the state, and food and drink brands in particular get long dwell time there.

Fall and winter

The calendar does not stop when summer ends. Visit Milwaukee lists the Brewers at American Family Field in October, the Bucks' 2026-27 season, Gallery Night on October 16, and Christmas in the Ward on December 4 in the Historic Third Ward. The Third Ward's galleries and storefronts suit smaller retail pop-ups and holiday activations. Postseason baseball depends on the standings, so any plan tied to the Brewers needs a flexible venue hold.
